ILLUSTRATIVE PROJECT / 01
The quiet courtyard
An intimate outdoor room, softened by layered planting and the movement of light.
THE STARTING POINT
A space that works
with everyday life.
The imagined brief
A private, welcoming space for morning coffee, unhurried evenings and the everyday pleasure of being outside.
The design direction
A simple limestone route gives the garden structure. A multi-stem tree, generous ferns and a low water bowl create depth without crowding the space.
The material palette
Pale limestone · Oak · Ferns · Amelanchier
